Conditions Of Booking And Occupancy


 

 

  1. St George’s is operated by the Service Personnel Anglican Help Society Ltd, an independent charitable organisation. The St George’s Defence Holiday Suites are for service and ex-service personnel and specific family members. Eligibility to stay will be verified prior to accepting a booking.

Eligibility includes:

Current or ex-service personnel, including:

  • Dependant children, or grandchildren (up to 25yrs)
  • Dependants with special needs (no age limit)
  • Carers can stay with the approval of supporting documentation.

Spouse of current or ex-service personnel, including:

  • Dependant children, or grandchildren (up to 25yrs)
  • Dependants with special needs (no age limit)
  1. Bookings may be made 15 months in advance for currently serving personnel and 12 months in advance for ex-service personnel.
  2. A deposit is required at the time of making the booking and the balance is payable no later than 28 days prior to arrival.
  3. Payment of the deposit constitutes the guest’s acceptance of the terms and conditions. In the event of a cancellation and with a minimum of 28 days’ notice, a $50 administration fee will be charged, and the balance of the deposit will be refunded. If the cancellation is within 28 days of arrival date, the guest is required to pay the full amount of the reservation.
  4. In the event of a “no show” the amount paid will be forfeited.
  5. There is no refund for early departure.
  6. At check-in you will be required to provide credit card details to cover any incidental costs.
  7. Limited parking is available on site and cannot be guaranteed.
  8. The Suite must not be used for any unlawful purpose.
  9. The Suite must be kept clean, and all garbage removed on exit otherwise it will attract an additional cleaning charge.
  10. No animals or pets are to be brought onto the premises. Excluding qualified service dogs with current paperwork.
  11. Neither the body corporate nor manager are liable for any damage or loss of property that a guest might sustain while on the premises.
  12. NO SMOKING - Queensland laws make it an offence to smoke in units and all common areas of the St George's Defence Holiday Suites. (Smoking and Smoking Products Act 1998. Sec 26R) - This rule will be strictly enforced.
  13. SEXUAL HARASSMENT & BULLYING IS PROHIBITED – It is unlawful for a person to sexually harass or bully another person who is a current or prospective worker, person conducting a business or undertaking, or occupiers of our premises. We ask everyone who comes onto our property to treat each other with respect and all breaches will be treated seriously.
  14. The by-laws, rules and regulations of The Garland and any reasonable direction of the manager must be complied with.
  15. If a Guest fails to comply after a warning from the manager, the guest must vacate the premises immediately.
  16. Check-out time is 10:00am Queensland time. (Luggage storage facilities are available on request with no liability accepted).
