
Terms and Conditions – St George’s Defence Holiday Suites
1. Eligibility and Age Requirements
Bookings are available exclusively to eligible serving and ex-service Defence personnel, their spouses, and dependent children. Proof of eligibility (e.g., service ID) is required upon booking and check-in. Guests must be at least 21 years of age to make a booking.
2. Deposit and Payment
A deposit of 15% of the total booking amount is payable at the time of booking. The balance is due 28 days prior to arrival.
Management reserves the right to cancel bookings if these payment terms are not met.
3. Changes to Bookings
Booking changes must be requested at least 28 days prior to arrival. While we will try to accommodate your request, changes are subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
4. Pets and Animals
No pets or animals are permitted on the premises.
5. Compliance with Rules and Manager’s Directions
Guests must comply with all rules, by-laws, and reasonable instructions from Management. Failure to comply after a warning may result in immediate eviction.
6. Arrivals & Departures
Check-in: from 2:00 pm
Check-out: by 10:00 am
Late check-in or early check-out arrangements must be made in advance and may incur fees.
7. Non-Smoking Policy
St George’s is a smoke-free property. Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is prohibited in suites, on balconies, and in all common areas. Evidence of smoking will incur a cleaning fee.
This policy is enforced in accordance with Queensland legislation (Smoking and Smoking Products Act 1998, Sec 26R).
8. Requirements upon Check-in
Guests must present valid photo ID, proof of eligibility, and provide a credit card for a $1,000 security bond. The person checking in must be the person named on the booking.
Visa and Mastercard payments incur a surcharge.
9. Security Bond
A $1,000 security bond is required for the duration of your stay. Keys will not be issued until the bond, registration form, and full payment are received.
Guests are responsible for any damage, breakages, or loss to the apartment or property during their stay.
10. Parking
Guests must park in their allocated secure parking space(s). Visitor parking is available by arrangement with reception.
11. Mid-Stay Service
A mid-stay service is provided for bookings of 10 nights or more.
12. Bike and Surfboard Storage
Bikes and surfboards are not permitted inside suites, foyers, or lifts. Secure storage facilities are available for both.
13. Schoolies Bookings
St George’s does not accept bookings for Schoolies. We reserve the right to reject bookings from school or university leavers during this period.
14. No Party Policy
We operate a strict no-party policy. Functions, weddings, and private parties such as hens or bucks nights are not permitted. Breaches may result in eviction and additional charges.
15. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellations 28+ days prior to arrival: 15% deposit forfeited
- Cancellations within 28 days of arrival or no-shows: full booking cost charged
We strongly recommend travel insurance to cover unforeseen cancellations.
16. Cancellations Due to Unforeseen Events
We reserve the right to cancel bookings due to natural disasters, extreme weather, national emergencies, or other events affecting the property. Notice will be given where possible.
Guests waive the right to claim against St George’s for such cancellations, except where caused by our fault or negligence.
