Terms and Conditions – St George’s Defence Holiday Suites
1. St George’s is operated by the Service Personnel Anglican Help Society Ltd, an independent charitable organisation.The St George’s Defence Holiday Suites are for service and ex-service personnel and specific family members. Eligibilityto stay will be verified prior to accepting a booking.
a. Eligibility includes:
i. Current or ex-service personnel, including:
• Dependant children, or grandchildren (up to 25yrs)
• Dependants with special needs (no age limit)
• Carers can stay with the approval of supporting documentation.
ii. Spouse of current or ex-service personnel, including:
• Dependant children, or grandchildren (up to 25yrs)
• Dependants with special needs (no age limit)
2. Bookings may be made 15 months in advance for currently serving personnel and 12 months in advance for ex-servicepersonnel.
3. A deposit is required at the time of making the booking and the balance is payable no later than 28 days prior to arrival.
4. Payment of the deposit constitutes the guest’s acceptance of the terms and conditions. In the event of a cancellationand with a minimum of 28 days’ notice, a $50 administration fee will be charged, and the balance of the deposit willbe refunded. If the cancellation is within 28 days of arrival date, the guest is required to pay the full amount of thereservation.
5. In the event of a “no show” the amount paid will be forfeited.
6. There is no refund for early departure.
7. At check-in you will be required to provide credit card details to cover any incidental costs.
8. Limited parking is available on site and cannot be guaranteed.
9. The Suite must not be used for any unlawful purpose.
10. The Suite must be kept clean, and all garbage removed on exit otherwise it will attract an additional cleaning charge.
11. No animals or pets are to be brought onto the premises. Excluding qualified service dogs with current paperwork.
12. Neither the body corporate nor manager are liable for any damage or loss of property that a guest might sustain whileon the premises.
13. NO SMOKING - Queensland laws make it an offence to smoke in units and all common areas of the St George's DefenceHoliday Suites. (Smoking and Smoking Products Act 1998. Sec 26R) - This rule will be strictly enforced.
14. SEXUAL HARASSMENT & BULLYING IS PROHIBITED – It is unlawful for a person to sexually harass or bully anotherperson who is a current or prospective worker, person conducting a business or undertaking, or occupiers of ourpremises. We ask everyone who comes onto our property to treat each other with respect and all breaches will betreated seriously.
15. RESPECTFUL CONDUCT TOWARDS GUESTS AND STAFF – Guests must behave respectfully toward other guests,residents, staff and contractors. Harassment, abusive language, threatening or disruptive behaviour will not betolerated and may result in immediate termination of the booking and removal from the premises without refund.
16. The by-laws, rules and regulations of The Garland and any reasonable direction of the manager must be compliedwith.
17. If a Guest fails to comply after a warning from the manager, the guest must vacate the premises immediately.
18. Check-out time is 10:00am Queensland time. (Luggage storage facilities are available on request with no liabilityaccepted).

Yes, you can request changes up to 28 days before arrival. While we will do our best to accommodate your request, all changes are subject to availability.
Check-in is from 2:00 pm and check-out is by 10:00 am. For arrivals outside these hours, please contact our office to discuss late check-in or early check-out options.

No. St George’s has a strict no-party policy. Parties, functions, weddings, and events are not permitted. Breaching this policy may result in eviction and additional charges.
Bikes and surfboards are not allowed inside apartments, foyers, or lifts. However, secure storage is available for both surfboards and bikes.
A $200 deposit is required at the time of booking your stay. The remaining balance is due 28 days prior to arrival to secure your suite or apartment.
Unfortunately, pets are not permitted to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for all guests.
No, St George’s is strictly non-smoking. Smoking (including e-cigarettes) is not permitted inside apartments, on balconies, or in common areas. A cleaning fee applies for breaches.
No security deposit is needed upon booking, however, a valid credit card on file is required at check-in. This covers potential damages, with keys issued upon check-in.
